Storyboard work

This is a full story board for my horror movie trailer. I love creating story boards and created 5 for this trailer alone. I picked these ideas for the trailer because the impact the images have. Plus I wanted to stick with horror movie clichés as some of my other ideas might not have worked as well.

Scrapbook work

These are different pages of the 2 scrapbooks I have. I hope these show you my different techniques to create ideas and show my thought processes. As I am dyslexic I find images much easier to create and relate too than words. 

Relentless Trailer

This is the trailer for my horror film. I created the concept and storyboard as it was a solo project. I asked my friends to help act and got a lot of great feedback off them for new ideas for filming locations. It differs to my storyboard as the weeks between writing and filming, I had new ideas and revisited the project with more inspiration.

Homage to The walking dead!

This was a fun video I created with footage I took round my local town. Its a homage to the BEST ZOMBIE STORY EVER!!!!!!!!!!! I loved the comics and love the show even more !!!!!!!!!! The Walking Dead!!

Homage to How I Met Your Mother

This was a fun exercise I did using old Photos of friends. I wanted to pay homage to one of my favorite comedy show - How I Met Your Mother.  As I am gay and for copyright I called it How I Met Your Father.

   I am always influenced by the media that I consume. I love television and movies from Horror to Drama to film noir. I created a selection of mood boards to be able to look at and reflect on the shows/Movies I have watched so I can draw on there different styles and storylines and create new ideas.



Although you can see the titles of many movies I will list all the media sources.

Romance poster

This is an advertisement poster for a made up romance movie. This piece goes along with a romance movie DVD cover and trailer of the same name. The poster shows an old couple kissing, this is to symbolise a couple in love. I used the colour red, red symbolises love. The title font matches the DVD cover, although this has a down side has it's hard to see.

Romance DVD cover

This is the DVD cover for a made up romantic movie that I have designed by myself using Photoshop. I merged two pictures on the front, one of the main couple and another of a clock. The clock referes to the title of the movie ‘In the Moment’. I chose a fancy style of font on the back to connate ideas of a love letter and make it romantic. I used photos of my friends and family to show the idea that I had for the movie, this showing three different time periods of one relationship, each with their own storylines yet still intertwined. 

Relentless poster

This is an advertisement poster for a made up horror movie. This piece goes along with a horror movie DVD cover and trailer of the same name. The poster shows 12 victims. I used classic horror movie colours e.g. black, red and white. I think the red writing really stands out form the black and white backgroud. The faces merge into the poster and this makes it look scary.

Relentless DVD cover

This is the DVD cover for a made up horror movie that I have designed by myself using Photoshop . I merged my pictures together to give it a spooky effect. I chose a bloody style of font to make the title and tagline stand out and let the audience know right off the back that it’s an adult horror movie. I used black and white pictures of the main cast (my friends and family) to make it very eerie. The pictures on the back are taken from my trailer they are meant to be shocking to attract the audience.
